Core Crew

“He will not forget your work or the love you have shown Him, as you have helped His people and continue to help them.” Hebrews 6:10

Please allow a minute for photogallery to load

Habitat for Humanity Menominee River is blessed to have a group of dedicated volunteers we call our “The Core Crew.” They are the heart and soul of our ministry. Each Monday and Wednesday these faithful servants commit their time, doing whatever is needed to eliminate poverty housing and build new lives for God’s people. They make a difference!

Something wonderful happens when word and deed come together. Helping people become homeowners, taking pride in the work they do, giving neighborhoods renewed hope, is a routine part of the work day for these men and women. There’s no pressure when you become part of the Core Crew. The volunteers show-up on Monday and Wednesday when they are available to work. The day begins at 8:00, is filled with great fellowship and laughter, and ends about noon.
If you would like more information about becoming part of the Core Crew please emaildevelopment@habitatmr.com or call (906) 779-5377

We welcome all skill levels and would love to talk to you.

Build Schedule

Notes before arriving at the Worksite:
Dress Code: Layered construction grubbies, leather footwear recommended. No open toe or high-heel shoes.

Tools: We will supply everything you will need, but we encourage volunteers to bring their own work gloves and tool belts.

Release of Liability: Each Habitat volunteer must sign a Release of Liability form agreeing to take personal responsibility for any accidents or injuries on the job. Most individuals have a personal health insurance plan that covers them while engaged in volunteer work. However, you should verify your coverage prior to coming to the work site. Minors must have a parent or guardian sign the Release of Waiver of Liability. Click here to print Adult and Liability forms.

Kids and Construction: To help ensure a safe work environment, construction volunteers must be at least 16 years old. Younger teens may help with landscaping or other non-construction tasks when there is no heavy construction work in progress. Teens, 16 and 17, may work on a construction site provided they have parental permission. Those under 18 may not use power tools, climb ladders, or work on scaffolding or the roof. Click here to print our Minor and Liability forms.

Upon Arrival: Sign in and file your Volunteer forms.
