Care-A-Vanners Return to Help Habitat

Groups of Care-A-Vanners are coming to the area to work on three Habitat homes being constructed at 1801 Pisoni Street in Iron River, 1356 County Road in Aurora, and 122 Central Avenue, Norway. The groups will arrive throughout June, July, and August.

The Habitat for Humanity RV Care-A-Vanners, a diverse group of men and women from across the United States, share a commitment to eliminate substandard housing and a willingness to learn from and partner with local affiliates and homeowner families. Additionally, each owns a recreational vehicle - a motor home, trailer, or a van - in which he or she is able to live temporarily.

Arriving after their long journeys, the Care-A-Vanners will stay at local parks. While taking in the beauty and hospitality of the area, they will roll up their sleeves and put in two long weeks of labor. At the end of each day, they will climb into their home on wheels and prepare for the next day’s work. Thanks to these dedicated folks for helping to make the dream of owning a new home come true!

If you would like to donate a meal or spend time working with this inspirational group of people call the Habitat for Humanity office at 779-5377.
